
Monday night we had hawaiian haystacks. I must admit I had never had these prior to joining the
Church. The best part is their versatility. The basics are rice and shredded chicken, but the rest is up to you. I use cream of chicken soup and milk for the sauce, but I've also known people to use sweet and sour or teriyaki--whatever your family prefers. We like pineapple, olives, avacado, bell pepper and chow mein noodles for toppings. Some other ideas are tomatos, almond slices, raisins, etc. Just be creative.
